We use  Natural Gemstones in many of the pendants we design.  They are considered valuable because of their beauty and scarcity.  Most of the gems are from Brazil..  In some cases where we cannot source large gems due to scarcity or expense we have designed our own collection of Lab created gemstones called the "SilkenStone Collection".  From a Metaphysical perspective these stones resonate just like stones grown in the earth.  The only real difference is the location they are grown.  Lab grown gemstones are crystalline in structure and will have the same light refraction, physical properties, and  optical properties.  It is often challanging for even gem experts to tell the difference without the use of special equipment and tests.  When we test the gems on our clients, the Lab created stones produce the same result  as the earth grown stones, they test the same.  I like to use large stones, cut to refract alot of light, with great color, stones that carry great resonance. 

Choosing a piece.....

In most cases your instincts will guide you to your power stone.  Stones that seem to call to you are often stones that will assist  in attracting the energy that you need at the present time.      If your not sure refer to the properties of the Gems to help you  determine which pieces are the best choice at this time.  I like to use stones that compliment what I am setting out to accomplish.   

Leopard Agate: Excellent for taking back your personal power. Agate is known to guard against danger, gives strength, and victory in endeavors opens the wearer to receive unexpected favors from the deities. Increases balance on all levels. Protective stone, agate is grounding but energetic, can be used to strengthen the mind and body, give courage and heal.

Black Agate: Used for prosperity and courage. Worn by athletes to assist in victory.

Amethyst: Indispensable for healers. Amethyst balances and heals all the chakras. It is said to help physical pain, migraines and other headaches, insomnia. Associated with the third eye, Amethyst is often called the Spiritual Crystal. It assists in cutting through illusion, and helps to develop psychic abilities.

Amethyst cut into a heart shape and given as a gift of love is said to confer great happiness and tranquility.

Aquamarine:  Clears the mind and assists in creativity.  Aquamarine balances the emotions and assists in removing fear, doubt while increasing tolerance.  Calming and inspiring, this stone strengthens personal power and enhanses the aura.  Known as the mystic and seers stone, Aquamarine has a balancing effect on all the bodies,  sharpens the intuition and attracts wealth.

Azurite: Used by ancient Egyptian priestesses and priests to raise the consciousness to such a high level that they could contact the Goddess. Said to strengthen the blood and the flow of energy. Enhances the psychic, cuts thru illusion. Known as a transformation stone. Azurite enhances creativity, inspiration and intuition. Useful when studying for exams as it helps to retain information.

Chalcedony:  Known as the "Mother Stone", Chalcedony repels negative vibrations and attracts positive ones.  Brings good fortune and aids in clarity.  Chalcedonys healing properties include increasing lactation for nursing mothers.

Chrysocolla: A stone with very feminine energy. Chrysocolla relieves tension and brings out inner strength. Helps to release negative energy associated with any type of abuse. Calms the emotions. Aids in releasing old resentments and encourages forgiveness.

Chrysoprase: Said to create happiness, enterprise, adaptability, versatility, action, progress and adventure. A calming, balancing, and healing stone affecting all the bodies. Carry or wear this stone to attract prosperity. It will also double duty as a protector against negarive thoughts from other people. Wear to work for inspiration and innovative ideas.

Citrine: Abundance stone Citrine attracts prosperity on all levels and is especially good for business success. Increases motivation and creative energy. Excellent for those in education and business. The richer the color of the stone the stronger the effect. Use this stone to align with the Higher Self. Strenghtens self esteem.

Cats Eye: In India, Cats Eye is one of the Nine Sacred Gems and is greatly valued. It is said that this stone draws wealth and keeps it from being lost. Attracts the gift of foresight and intensifies psychic awareness.

Diamond: Hardest natural stone on Earth, being 150 X harder than corundunm which is the second hardest. Diamond is considered to be a magical stone of great power. It enhances all energies in the body, mind and spirit, helping to align with the Higher Self. It is known as a Master Healer, this stone breaks up blockages in both the crown chakra and in the personality. Diamonds are a magnifier, they will magnify the effect of any other stone being worn. It also helps with all functions of the brain, gives victory, great strength and courage.

Garnet: Very grounding it helps in balancing the root chakra. Excellent protection stone. Often used to protect children. Excellent to wear when you will be in a competitive or combative enviornment. Increases productivity.

Gaspeite: Discovered in 1966. Aboriginals have used gaspeite to bring visions and grant success. Primarily related to the heart chakra, Gaspeite reduces stress and brings assurance. A stone of spring, Gaspeite is about new beginnings, helps attract friends and success. Known to bring good forture and prevent loss.

Jade: In Asia and other areas of the Far East, jade bangles and amulets are widely worn to gain physical strenght and throw off illness. Said to strengthen the heart, kidneys and immune system by cleansing the blood. Healing powers correspond to the color of the jade. The most respected stone in the Orient.

Green: Calms and attract harmony. Counteract depression.

Lavender: helps with creativity and ideas. Aids in recovery after dissappointment in love.

Labradorite: Excellent for those who face a long period of sustained work. Stimulates physical activity and willingness to get into action. Assists in manifesting results.

Lapis Lazuli: A great healer and purifier. It assists in helping one to see emotional issues more clearly. Excellent for healing after childbirth or any female trauma. A stone ruled by Jupiter aids in Vitality and virility by releasing tension and anxiety. Helps to attract a better job. The energy of Lapis is very high quality. It assists you to raise the quality of your mental, spiritual, and emotional energy.
